East Wall Youth offer a range of educational programs designed to support young people in their learning journey. One of the key initiatives is their homework club, which provides students with the resources and guidance they need to succeed academically. The club fosters a supportive environment where students can receive help with their assignments, improve their study habits, and build confidence in their academic abilities. Through these programs, East Wall Youth aim to empower young people with the skills and knowledge necessary to excel in school and beyond.
Our moving up group provides a platform for the transition from primary to secondary school for young people aged 12-13 years, this can be a significant milestone for some young people. At this stage, young people undergo physical, emotional, and cognitive changes, which can make the shift to secondary school both exciting and challenging. They often experience increased independence, greater academic demands, and a more complex social environment. New subjects, teachers, and a larger school community can lead to feelings of uncertainty or anxiety. However, it also provides opportunities for growth, development of new skills, and increased responsibility. Supporting this transition through our moving up programme helps to promote a positive school culture, and open communication can help the young people to adjust more easily and thrive in their new environment.
Throughout the year we offer specific developmental programmes such as age appropriate drug and alcohol education, arts based, healthy living, team-building, junior leadership, youth led actions, active citizenship, etc.

East Wall Youth provide an engaging Halloween arts and crafts workshops, where young people can explore their creativity and create festive decorations, costumes and props. These workshops provide a fun and interactive way for the young people of East Wall to celebrate the season while developing
artistic skills. To top off the festivities, the young people also participate in a vibrant Halloween Parade held on Halloween night, where they can showcase their handmade creations and celebrate the spirit of the holiday in the community. These events foster creativity, teamwork, and a sense of belonging among the young people of East Wall.
Summer Programme is a 6 week programme run between July and August each year
East Wall Youth celebrate the festive season with a variety of fun and creative activities for young people. During Christmas, we hold arts and crafts workshops where participants can make holiday-themed decorations and gifts, fostering creativity and a sense of seasonal joy. In addition to these
hands-on activities, East Wall Youth organize Christmas-themed trips, such as ice skating outings, allowing participants to enjoy the holiday spirit in the community. These events provide a wonderful opportunity for socializing, learning new skills, and making lasting memories during the holiday season.
Behind the scenes, we work with many young people in small groups and individually to meet specific needs, for example, helping people manage issues as they arise in their lives, responding to crises, advocacy, research, vocational supports, grant applications, CV preparation, interview techniques, junior leadership development, skills development etc.
One to one work is on-going in many cases.
Activities and upcoming events throughout the year will be advertised locally and on our Facebook page.
